Zagorsk is inspired by Orthodox Christianity and the Russian city of the same name. Zagorsk is the light and melancholic scent of Russian monasteries on endless snowy Russian planes, the odor of light birch and dark pine tree woods, and northern red forest fruits.

All the various functions of incense, coupled with their evocation of time and place, inspired Comme des Garçons to create Series 3: Incense.
Zagorsk, a spiritual journey across the world to the old snowy village of Zagorsk in Russia, built around the 14th century monastery, surrounded by crisp pines and cedars. Like pinecones on snow in the troika on a winter’s morning.
