From One Day
An island in the southernmost, an oasis. The wind combs through the green hair on the back of the hills and detangles the scents. The rustle of grass cuts through the breeze and leaves a long-running lime-colored hue. Fruits grow on the island’s skin and gradient to yellow, the mark of fingernail on its peel looks like a sickle moon. The color brushes through the landscape and runs down the sea. A splash of turquoise. The blue of water on shore washes up and meets the yellow of the island.
