Monocle Scent One: Hinoki
From CdG X Monocle
Monocle Scent One : Hinoki is the first in a series of fragrances created in partnership with Comme des Garçons. This unique tie-up between publishing and beauty has produced a revolutionary scent for men and women.
Hinoki takes its inspiration from a perfectly still, slightly chilly spring morning spent soaking in a tub at the Tawaraya in Kyoto. It combines the memory of the mosses and trees outdoors and sharp notes of the boxy hinoki tub. We soak and feel the pull of the meditative incense, the soft touch of the surrounding greenery, and the rich smells of the wood guiding us into an intangible mystical world.
Released: 2008
Perfumer
Antoine Maisondieu
Notes
cypress, terpentine, camphor, cedar, thyme, pine, georgy wood, incense, tree moss, vetiver
